Jessie's Story...
Jessie, estimated to have been born in 2008, is a little 4.5 lb girl. She is very sweet and a total mommy's girl. She loves to curl up with her foster Grammy at night, but needs to go potty in the middle of the night. She just walks to the edge of the bed to let her human know she needs to go. Once she gets outside, she does her business quickly and wants to return to her nice warm bed. She loves her foster Grammy to hold her whenever she can, but will find a nice comfortable spot to chill if Grammy is busy. If you would like to meet this sweet little girl, please fill out an application found at and we will give you a call.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jessie, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
