4 mo white mosaic chinchilla's Story...
We have a mosaic female chinchilla who’s looking for her new home. She came to the rescue just a bit ago, and is now ready to leave and go to a family of her own. This girl actually went out on one of our Trial Runs and the family just adored her! Unfortunately, due to unforeseen financial circumstances (unrelated to the chinchilla), they were unable to take her home at this time… but they pre-loved her for you and she’s now waiting to go home permanently!

She was born around 5/1/2016, making her right around 4 months old. Her color is called mosaic, which is an overall white color. She is mostly white with some light grey shading on her head and around the bae of her tail.

This girl is a hoot! She can sure talk to you when you go to catch her, which is so cute! If you’re not necessarily reaching for her, she will come right to the front of the cage to see what you’re doing, very outgoing girl. She isn’t afraid to put her paws on you, or the phone, or camera, to check out what you’re doing, and what is that that you’re holding?? A bit more of an active girl. Very curious, wants to check out you and the world around her. Does fine with being handled and petted, but would prefer to use you as a jungle gym as opposed to simply being held and petted… that’s simply not exciting enough for her! Energetic little pipsqueak. Very sweet girl, doesn’t bite.

She would make a great “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had one before, as long as you understand that she definitely is more of an active girl.

This chinchilla is currently caged alone. However, if you interested in pairing her up with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (Tradition pellets), a goodie bag of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. She will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

This chinchilla is located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324). Sorry, but we do not ship.

The adoption fee for this mosaic female chinchilla is $200

Why Adoption is a Great Option

4 mo white mosaic chinchilla, a Hammond Chinchilla was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinchilla for sale in Hammond, or seeking a Chinchilla from a breeder in Hammond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hammond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hammond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinchilla breeders who help with Chinchilla rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hammond paves the way for another one to be saved.
