My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mojo – male, neutered, vaccinated to date, vet checked, approx 100lbs, 7yrs, Yellow Lab. NO SMALL CHILDREN.

Mojo is great with kids but can not handle being treated like a toy by the youngest toddler in the home so his family has placed him up for adoption.

Mojo is fine with respectful children of any age but would like a home with older children that will be more respectful of him and not constantly pest, bug and jump all over him, if you have children under 6yrs of age do not apply for Mojo. He loves attention and does not mind being laid on, brushed or having his ears played with, he would love a home with older children that can play fetch with him and help take him for walks. Mojo is great with other dogs but has never lived with cats so a home with no felines would be best. He enjoys regular trips to the dog park, he knows his basic obedience commands and he walks very nicely on or off leash, he loves to go to the park for some off leash time to play fetch. He has been well socialized and is great with people of all ages, he is easy going and friendly in nature as most Labs are. Mojo loves to be part of the family and likes to be where ever his family is in the home. He is a mature dog and does not use a crate; he is fine to be left alone for typical 9-5 work hours but would like to find someone who is home more often. Aside from a little extra weight gained over the last few months Mojo is in good health, more walks and fewer snacks will help him slim down. We are thinking 85-90lbs is an ideal weight. He has also been on MediCal Weight Loss formula which is purchased from the vet. He can likely be switched to a premium brand of food for Weight Control in his new home as long as he is fed the right amount and given enough exercise. Weight gain is typical for the breed as they tend to like to eat anything! Exercise and not over feeding is the best way to keep Mojo’s weight in check. He has recently been to see the groomer so he is all spruced up and has recently been to the vet for a yearly check up and is in good health. Mojo’s groomer would like to continue to see him and offers free nail clipping for life for any adopted pet. Mojo is eager to find a mature household to settle in to for the rest of his years, he is a loveable puppy at heart and has many years left to enjoy with a new family. Mojo needs a house with a fenced yard – no apartments=condos.
