Meet this sweet sweet girl named Marci! She came into the shelter as a stray on Sept. 12, 2016 and is now awaiting her FOREVER home. She is a complete love and around 1 years old and current on her vaccinations. She loves to soak up all the TLC one has to share and seems like she will make someone or a family a fabulous kitty if given a fair chance. Just a laid back girl with lots of happiness and love to share. Visit with Marci today and give her a awesome life she deserves.
We have SO MANY cats & kittens arriving daily that it is hard to keep Adopt a Pet as up-to-date as we would like. So PLEASE COME TO THE SHELTER and meet some of the wonderful cats that are up for adoption and open up your home to 1 or more kitties today! Can't adopt today? We'd love some toys, litter, or food (especially kitten food) would be good too. Maybe you will have some time for snuggle and love on us while you're here. It makes the cats time here more enjoyable to get love & attention. We need volunteers & foster homes! If you adopt a cat that is not already spayed or neutered you will receive a voucher to cover the cost of the surgery...such a great deal while saving a life!! All of the cats are tested for FIV as well as Lukemia before being adopted out as well. The shelter hours are M-F 10-1, 2-5 and Sat. 10-4.

Act quickly to adopt Marci. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

About Carteret County Humane Society & Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

We are a non-profit orginization relying on donations. We do have a contract witht the county to provide shelter for strays brought in. We have limited space but try to get our animals back to thier families and if that can not be accomplished we work hard on finding them new homes.
We do what we do because we love animals. We are realistic in in efforts, understand the problem and work towards educating the public on what needs to be done to prevent over population.
