Mookie's Info...

I am housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Mookie's Story...
Mookie, 3 years old, male, 10lbs.

If you can handle plenty of spunk in one tiny dog, then Mookie is for you. Typical of small dogs, Mookie prefers one or two people and can be very "standoffish" to anyone else. He loves to jump around and play with anyone he likes though and is such a happy little man!

He is up to date on vaccines we administer here at the shelter and is scheduled to be neutered soon. Mookie would do best in a home without children. He does not mind the cats that live at our shelter and has done well with most other dogs.

If you feel like your home is a match for Mookie, give us a call at 804-991-3200, message us on Facebook, email us at pganimals@princegeorgeva.org, or just stop by anytime we're open!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mookie, a Prince George Chihuahua/Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Shiba Inu for sale in Prince George, or seeking a Chihuahua/Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Prince George.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Prince George already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Prince George breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Chihuahua/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Prince George paves the way for another one to be saved.
