Pearl's Story...
My name is Pearl. I am approx 1 year old. I was sitting at a kill shelter in southern Missouri because my owners couldn't afford to feed me anymore. I was lucky that Five Acres Animal Shelter stopped by and picked me up! I love having the extra room and friends to play with here but I would love to have a family to call my own. Did I mention that I love to go for car rides?! What are you waiting for.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pearl, a St. Charles American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in St. Charles, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in St. Charles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Charles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Charles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Charles paves the way for another one to be saved.
