Meet Nina a 4 year old Terrier mix! This sweet, affectionate girl had a bit of a tough start to her young life, but if we had to describe her in three words it would be HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!

Did we mention HAPPY?

Nina is full of fun and energy and eager to learn new things and visit new places! She’s curious and interested in everything and loves to play as much as she loves to sit in her person’s lap and cuddle. She is a dream on a leash, loves car rides and thinks mingling with all of her dog buddies is just about the most fun a girl can have next to doing the zoomies she’s become known for!

Nina is also very shy and sensitive and can be a little nervous in new situations and with new people but she hopes you will love her anyway! She needs a very loving and experienced doggie home with a special someone who will treat her with kindness, patience, encouragement and understand that she may always have a few anxieties and worries that keep her from being a social butterfly.

Nina doesn’t give her heart away at the drop of a hat or a treat, but once she settles in and adjusts to a new home, she’ll bond quickly with her human and dog friends and be right there with you, ready to watch TV by your side or go on a trip and find a new adventure to share! She’s no couch potato, this girl…so it’s important for Nina to find a companion who will keep her mentally and physically stimulated and most of all, someone who is willing to work on basic manners and continuing socialization to help boost her confidence in new situations and with new people. Nina will also need a securely fenced yard, 6' no chain link (she can climb chain link).

Nina loves other small dogs and would thrive in a household that has a fun loving confident little dog for her to play with. She has met a couple of cats and was interested; we think she would be fine with a dog savvy cat as long as you make sure she realizes cats aren’t to be chased. And while she loves, loves, loves her people she would not do well in a household with kids (so 16+ only please). She would do best in a home with a couple who want a loving lap dog who is a ton of fun.

Nina is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped.

If you feel you can offer this sweet girl the forever loving home she deserves, please complete an adoption application here:

There is a $50 adoption fee for Nina
