Herby's Story...
Hi I’m Herby! There is A LOT of love packed into this little 11 pound frame! I’m a 2-year-old Terrier mix and I’m incredibly smart and friendly – I get along GREAT with other dogs and people of all sizes (even if they’re rude – I’m still friendly)! I follow my foster mom everywhere and wait patiently near her when she’s busy. You’ll never meet a dog that’s more excited to see you when you come home – I spin in circles and wag my tail constantly to show you how happy I am! I’m crate-trained and house-trained, plus I LOVE baths and car rides – how cool is that? So let me know if you’re looking for an easy-going guy to give you unconditional love!

If you'd like to meet this dog, please fill out an adoption application at http://www.sarocks.org/adopt or visit us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/sarocksorg.

The $150 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, rabies tag, heartworm test, and 1st month's flea/tick & heartworm preventative. Adopting an animal from a foster home gives you the best option of finding a pet that matches your lifestyle and home environment, because they are in foster, our foster homes are able to give you more information on their temperament and personality.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Herby, a San Antonio Cairn Terrier/Irish Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier/Irish Terrier for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Cairn Terrier/Irish Terrier dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier/Irish Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier/Irish Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
