Foster Care: Woof, I'm Durant! I'm a small, 9-month-old, neutered male Chihuahua with a short, brown coat. I currently live with my best buddy and sidekick “Clay” A807974 – we would love to find a permanent home together but it isn’t mandatory. He’s the goofy one, I’m the sweet and silent type. I am such a loving dog and so grateful for any attention. I am shy and cautious at first and probably the best home would be with a patient owner in a quieter household. I am happiest when out walking and I practically run with excitement. I did great dining outside at a restaurant with my foster family. My foster family is happy to report that they’ve never heard me bark, so I’d be a great apartment-dweller. I am well on his way to being house trained. One of my tricks is to “stand at attention” - almost like a mannequin. I have learned to run to my foster mom when she offers a belly rub. I walk right up and just stands at attention - very regal - waiting for a little belly rub. I love to nap in your lap. I will stand right at foster mom's feet while she is doing everything from changing laundry to blow drying her hair. I’m just a perfect, silent companion. Since I’m in foster care I’m not at the shelter, but you can make arrangements to meet me or learn more by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 650-340-7022 ext 374.
