Facts about Minnie

  • Breed: American Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
My name is Minnie and I am spunky, sassy, and sweet! I was born on June 28th and was hand raised by a very lovely woman who showed me and my siblings how to be the snuggliest, warmest kittens ever.
Like most kittens, I love to play--with cat toys, baby toys, dog toys, rubber balls, zip ties---if it moves, I play with it! When it comes time for me to slow down and rest, I often seek out my human family for cuddles (even the 8 month old baby in the house--I love her too). Otherwise, you can find my sister and I stretched out on the dog bed meant for the 60 pound pup. Speaking of dogs, I love them and will both play with and snuggle them. In fact, I remind my foster mom of a dog because I follow her from room to room and run to the door when she gets home.
I love to eat--wet food is my favorite--and I will come running whenever I hear food. I am a petite girl, though, so you would never know that I don't watch my figure!

One of my favorite things to do is to play with the 8 month old baby. I am gentle with her for the most part, but I am a kitten and will lightly use my claws and teeth at times. The baby loves me though and I've never made her cry! I also love to help load the dishwasher, do laundry, and put clothes away (my foster mom always has to double check that I haven't sneaked into a spot that I shouldn't be in).

I am currently in a foster home with my sister, Sabrina, (she's the other cat in the pics with me!) and while I would love to go to a forever home with her, it's not required. As long as you have another kitty at home that I can love, I can be your new best friend!

I am currently located in Charlton and my adoption fee is $200 or $350 for both me and my sister!

Broken Tail Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit foster-based rescue organization dedicated to the rescue of unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats in urgent need. We work closely with local animal controls, animal shelters and rescue groups to ensure the placement of these forgotten animals. We will not discriminate on basis of health, age, or breed and will only consider humane euthanasia in cases of aggression or for quality-of-life due to untreatable medical conditions.

Our animals are vet examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered as needed and receive any and all medical treatment necessary prior to being placed into carefully screened permanent homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our pets for adoption are in foster homes. You must fill out an adoption application before being considered for adoption. Once your application is received, the foster parent will contact you to discuss whether the animal would be a good fit for your home and set up a meet between your family and the pet.

We also house several cats in our adoption center at the Framingham,Cambridge, and Everett PetSmart stores. Stop by to play with them anytime the store is open!

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process includes an adoption application; a meet-and-greet between the prospective adopters, the dog, and the foster family; vet and personal reference checks; and a home visit.

Adopters must be at least 21 years of age.

Our adoption donation is generally between $300 - $400 for most adult dogs and is decided on a case-by-case basis. Adoption donations help defray the cost of transportation, care, and medical treatment.

Our adoption donation for cats and kittens varies by age.

Kitten under 6 months: $200
Cats 6 months – 4 yrs: $125
Cats 5 yrs – 9 yrs: $100
Senior (10+ years) or special needs cats: $75
Exotic and Declawed cats: $150
