SallySue has plenty of energy and spunk.  Don't let the white on her face fool you, she's not an old dog - that is just part of her coloring, as witnessed by the white highlights on her ears and paws. She is spending some relaxing time in foster care so we can get to know her more in a home.

SallySue is a 'Goofball' when accessed using the ASPCA 'Meet Your Match' program. View the video here:

Her foster mom reports that she is 100% potty trained!  Yay!  She is also ok with cats.  While she is curious about them and will chase them, she is not aggressive.  After a while, she has lost interest in them.  As far as dogs go, she has been fine with the big dogs in her foster mom's home.  She will get nervous if they get too much into her business, but if they leave her be, she is totally fine hanging out with them. She gets frightened of little kids if their energy and volume is too loud, so an ideal home for her would be with empty nesters or in a home with older children who will respect her boundaries.  Her foster mom bought some stairs for her to go up and down the couch by herself so she is enjoying that, as well as her cozy new bed!

SallySue would love to be able to go out on regular walks and play to burn off some of her energy.  She is a very lovely girl, who just wants to start her new adventure in life with a family of her own.

About Tiny Loving Canines (TLC)

About Our Rescue Group...

Tiny Loving Canines operates Ventura County's first and only full-time Rescue Center, open to the public 7 days/week in Simi Valley, CA.

We have the vision of a No-Kill generation, and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home the abandoned and neglected animals in our community. Our rescue acts as a needs-based safety net, allowing dogs maximum exposure for adoption at the county shelters, and saving their lives when they run out of time. We will do whatever it takes, within our means, to save a dogs life (unless it is illegal or immoral). TLC is proud to partner with Ventura County Animal Services in the march toward No-Kill in Ventura County!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Rescue Shop is located at 1736 Erringer on the 2nd Floor in Simi Valley, CA. We are open 7 days/week to showcase the dogs in our care. You can come visit our dogs and puppies Monday-Saturday from 12-7pm, and Sunday from 12-5pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Every dog and puppy that is adopted from TLC is spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, and is microchipped. Adoptions also include a complementary wellness exam at Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital and a coupon book to use at Theresa's.

If you are interested in adopting one of our furbabies, the very first step is to complete an adoption application; this can be done either in person at our Rescue Center or online from the dog's profile. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
