August is a three-legged wonder. At only 9 months old, he's been called 'an inspiration to us all' by the Village Voice, 'a real dog's dog' by Time Out Chicago, and 'a little too squirrel-interested for my taste' by the admittedly curmudgeonly A.O. Scott of the New York Times. He's a young guy, full of energy, devoted to people and very sharp in terms of training capability. It is worth noting that despite having just three legs, this is a dog that requires significant exercise every day. He loves to play with other dogs and is a typical puppy who needs training. He is crate trained and potty trained and loves all dogs and adult humans. He has had some bad experiences with children who were not nice to him so will require structured introductions with kids to make sure he feels safe. His foster parents hope he is adopted quickly so that they are not tempted to keep him!

August's adoption fee is $275, which includes vet exam, age-appropriate vaccinations and tests, microchip, and spay/neuter. Please note that we only accept cash or checks - no credit cards.

About All Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

All Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster home based rescue organization. We do not have a shelter and do not have any paid staff. Our dogs live in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their new forever homes. We offer a lifetime commitment to the dogs in our program. All of our dogs receive comprehensive vet work prior to adoption, including exam, vaccinations, microchip, HW/Lyme's test, fecal exam, and all are spayed and/or neutered. We do it because we love dogs, and with 4 million animals being euthanized every year in shelters around the country, the numbers of dogs needing our help is endless.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold public adoptions twice per month, and are often able to meet prospective families outside the events if need be.

Our Adoption Process...

The applicant must fill out a detailed adoption application (it is on our website), then is screened by an experienced volunteer. We charge adoption fees that are comparable to those of similar organizations in our area. The adoptive home must agree to and initial a list of regulations as well as complete a formal contract.
