Sunflower's Story...
Look at this sweet face! Darling Sunflower is a 6 year old Border Collie mix who has found herself in need of a new home. Her previous owners were going through a major life change and Sunflower lost her family in the process. She is having a hard time adjusting to her new surroundings, but gets attached to people who are nice to her pretty quickly. Of course treats help a lot too! Sunflower hasn't been with us very long, but hasn't had a potty accident yet. She may need some reminders with a new routine of course. We don't know how she does with other dogs, and we recommend bringing yours up for a meet-and-greet before adopting to make sure everyone gets along. Sunflower is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet her today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm.

**Help us celebrate our 111th Anniversary with $20 Adoption Special on Cats and Dogs!! 9-23-18 through 9-25-16 during normal open hours**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunflower, a Benbrook Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
