Hershey's Story...
Hershey is a 12 year old Cockapoo that his parents took him to the vet to be euthanized because he could no longer get up. One of the employees at the vet saw that he was just way over weight and that he had a lot of life left and they got the owners to sign him over to them. Hershey was 49 pounds comma very overweight, but other than that healthy. He is heartworm negative he is neutered, he is up-to-date on shots, and we did blood work and urinalysis and everything is fine he is healthy. He's lost four pounds since he's been here and he loves leash walks. He loves attention and he's good with all the other dogs and he's housebroken. He also loves kids, ones that are gentle and respectful with him, and he likes a tennis ball. Please help me find him a retirement home or he gets lots of attention, lots of these walks, and lots of love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hershey, a Bakersville Cockapoo dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockapoo for sale in Bakersville, or seeking a Cockapoo dog from a breeder in Bakersville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bakersville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bakersville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockapoo breeders who help with Cockapoo rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bakersville paves the way for another one to be saved.
