Hula (Princess)'s Story...
Princess Hula is a HOOOT! This girl is hilarious and so full of personality. She got the name Hula because when she's happy her whole body wiggles! She will grin at you and shake her booty! Hula is fully housebroken, gets along fine with other dogs and cats and will make you smile all day long! She is a lap dog for sure and wants to be near you. Hula came to us after her "owner" let her labor for 3 days with no progress....even in the pain she was in she was kissing the shelter staff the whole time. Sadly none of Hula's pups survived but Hula is ready to be "babied"! Hula is 2 years old, about 11 pounds and loves to play with toys! This cutie is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once her adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add Hula to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out the online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hula (Princess), a Southington Pug/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Chihuahua for sale in Southington, or seeking a Pug/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pug/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
