My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

An adoption application on BRITT can be found at the following link: http://wp.me/P73YMd-1h
Please email the completed application to weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.

Beautiful BRITT is a fantastic dog! This girl is just under a year old 35 lbs, and absolutely wonderful with other dogs. She walks really well on a leash, never makes a peep in her crate, and doesn't potty in her foster home. She is great at self entertaining (the video shows her playing with her favorite toy). She can be a little timid with some new adults, but never growls or anything like that. Worst case scenario, she will hide in her crate for a few minutes before venturing out to greet house guests. She is already comfortable with children, and we think that with time and patience her forever family will see her blossom into a confident girl. BRITT thoroughly enjoys playtime, but isn't a hyper dog. She could certainly make many great memories in the back yard with her forever family. However, BRITT is a pup who would also do well in a town home or condo. Her foster family doesn't have a fenced yard, and she is perfectly happy there. She is young, gorgeous, sweet, and a desirable/hard to find breed. BRITT's forever family is going to be incredibly lucky to have this angel join their lives.

BRITT is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
Her $300 adoption fee includes transport to the Nashville area.

Please email the completed application to weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
