Oz's Story...
Meet Oz! Oz is a 7 year old Silky Terrier mix who is in good health, neutered and up to date on vaccines. Oz bonds really well to one person so he would prefer to live alone with his human. He needs a low traffic house and an owner savvy enough to put him in his own room when company comes by. He has lived with dogs in the past so depending on the dog, he could live with one again. He is terrified of cats so cannot live with them at all. He loves to play fetch and snuggle on the couch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oz, a Acushnet Silky Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Acushnet, or seeking a Silky Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Acushnet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Acushnet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Acushnet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Silky Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Acushnet paves the way for another one to be saved.
