From Santa Barbara County, 2 baby sisters arrived in our care on 9/15/2016. They are both scheduled to be spayed & micro-chipped 9/29/2016 at AFRP Clinic. They are used to being around other bunnies (their litter mates) so they would be a great choice for bonding. JADA is a tad feistier than her mellow sibling JAVA. But nothing that cannot be solved, she just has more energy she needs to release. Both love a slice of banana, Kale, Italian Parsley and are already eating Orchard/Timothy hay. Both are adorable, their mom was quite petite so we assume these girls will remain 3-4 pounds when fully grown.

About Animal Friends Rescue Project

About Our Rescue Group...

AFRP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding good permanent homes for stray, abandoned, and abused companion animals. We are also dedicated to ending the companion animal overpopulation problem through focussed spay/neuter programs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Animal Friends Rescue Project has a main adoption center and many satellite adoption sites. Our Main Adoption Center is located at 560 Lighthouse Ave in Pacific Grove. We are open Tuesday through Saturday 12-5. Adoptable cats are always on site. We also bring 5-10 adoptable dogs to the center from shelters or their foster homes on a daily basis. If you are interested in meeting a specific dog from our website, please call 333-0722 or email Check our website for a complete listing of our satellite adoption sites, dates of our adoption days, and dogs and cats available for adoption (

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fee for a cat is $150 which includes their spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, and FIV/FeLV testing. The adoption fee is $200-$300. The adoption fee helps to cover the cost of the care the animal has received, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
