This beautiful tortie comes to us from Farmington way. Her owner was diagnosed with a terminal illness and turned in a couple of kitties to the local kill shelter. She thought Maura could be pregnant but said she did not let her outside. Of course she sent in a picture of her outside on her patio when I was asked to take her! Maura was not pregnant and has since been spayed, but she starts out very shy and takes a few weeks to warm up and trust you. When that happens she starts talking and purring. She does love brushing, but at first you have to approach her; she does not ask for attention for a little while. She did live with another female kitty before but has been hissy at my home, due to fear and shock at the changes in her life and space; so another kitty should be fine with proper introduction. Maura is about three years old, has a mild positive for FIV and is negative for FeLV, is spayed, up to date on shots, micro chipped, and treated for parasites. Maura is Heartland #10425CL. And obviously she LOVES to have her picture taken!!!
