Facts about Nougat

  • Breed: Chihuahua/Dachshund Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: G16-067
Our Nougat has the spunk to survive the ordeal of being left in a box with another dog at the shelter and yet, he still retains his loving and kind personality. This makes Nougat a very special Chiweenie. He gets along fine with other dogs, bunnies, even Guinea Pigs and of course people. Nougat loves to walk at the park or on the beach, at 9 1/2 pounds Nougat is study enough to walk anywhere and anytime the opportunity presents itself. Nougat is fond of car rides, especially with the window down. When his daily exercising is complete, he likes you to hold him close.

Nougat is three years old, up to date on all his shots and of course house-trained. You can’t help but appreciate his loving, happy personality. Isn’t that what really matters in adding a dog into your life.

Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial medical and other costs in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we must charge an adoption fee. The adoption fee for Nougat is $250.

If you are interested in adopting Nougat, please complete our online adoption application at http://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process.html. One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.

About Grateful Dogs Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Grateful Dogs Rescue was founded in 1990; its mission is to rescue dogs not made available for adoption at San Francisco Animal Care and Control and other local shelters through no fault of their own. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these dogs until a loving home is found.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes!  You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having foster parents to care for them until they find their forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...

The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy human and happy dog in a "forever home." The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home inspection, and an adoption fee. The adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, shots and other medical care given before the dog is made available for adoption.
