Facts about Shady

  • Breed: Doberman Pinscher
  • Color: Silver & Tan (Yorkie Colors)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Shady was rescued from a downstate animal shelter because the shelter didn't feel they could offer her for adoption. She reacted negatively toward other dogs and therefore failed her temperament test. In our custody she has been fine around other dogs and in fact is a little fearful of them. She is currently kenneled with a sweet older male Doberman and there have been no incidents. Shady's major negative thus far is that she balks on leash when she isn't sure of where or why she is being led. She is very friendly with people and probably with older, non-frightening kids as well. She's a little dainty girl weighing probably 50-55 pounds, and she's 3 years old. She's a blue Dobie with a very nice coat. To see more of our adoptable dogs please refer to our website at www.DobiesandLittlePawsRescue.org

About Dobies and Little Paws Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non-profit, no-kill rescue/sanctuary specializing in dobermans but also rescuing small dogs. Most of our dogs come from animal shelters before they are euthanized and are given a second chance at a new home.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are located on a small ranch nestled in the orchards of Fillmore, ca. We are open every saturday from 11:00am-3:00pm for open house adoptions. We can arrange weekday or sunday visits by appointment as well.

Our Adoption Process...

We ask that you bring the whole family (including the four legged) so we can best match you with the right dog. Once you have found your new companion we will have you fill out a one page adoption agreement. We ask a donation of $200-$250 for a doberman and $150 for a little dog. All dogs go home spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, with a collar, ID tag, and de-wormer.
