Jordan's Story...
Jordan is a 13 week Beagle/Dachshund that is ready for his forever home. He is full of energy, and loves to play with his foster siblings of the feline and canine variety. He also loves to play ball! Jordan does well in a cage and will go right in if bribed with a treat! He only whines for a little bit when left all by himself. He's very excitable by any kind of food. He loves to be picked up and carried around, he will paw at your legs when he wants up. He also loves to be up on the couch near his foster parents.

He is still working on house training and not nipping during playtime. He's also working on sitting/calming down before being fed or let out of the crate.

If you would like to meet this handsome young man, please fill out an online adoption application at www.rescueahart.org. Once submitted, you should receive an automatic "thank you" response. You can also email doghart@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jordan, a Cincinnati Beagle/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Dachshund for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Beagle/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Dachshund breeders who help with Beagle/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
