Luna's Story...
Luna is a sweet and gorgeous little Pittie girl. she is one year of age. Luna has quite a sad story- she was left to fend for herself with her friend, Lulu. The guy was kicked out of his house and left the dogs in the back yard for 3 weeks. The girls wouldn't leave the back yard, even with an open gate. The neighbors helped to feed them until animal control eventually picked them up. Then they were taken to a high kill shelter and were put on the kill list. That is when we stepped up and rescue them.
Luna is timid and shy. she weighs around 30-35 lbs. she is what we call a Pocket Pittie. Luna is good with other dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a Pittsburgh Staffordshire Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
