Radley is a one-and-a-half year old, very cute, male Poodle mix who is very sweet and loving. Weighing about 10 lbs., he is mostly white, with some tan markings throughout his coat. He has a tiny under-bite, and may have some Bichon in him, but he essentially has the poodle coat that is no shedding, and he may even be hypoallergenic. He was found as a stray, completely matted, and we had to shave him to start his coat over. So in the photos and video you see his coat cut very short, but his coat can also be longer if preferred, however, dogs like him do require grooming about four times a year.

Radley is a very good-natured dog that loves to hang with his people. If I am working at the computer, Radley finds a pet bed in the office near me, and just chills. He is a Velcro dog who wants to be where you are. He is also very playful. He loves stuffed animals, stuffing-less toys, and will get a little ball if thrown to him. He loves to play interactively with other dogs, especially chase as well as tug-of-war with a toy. He lives in a foster home with two cats, and he does not bother them. He is crate-trained, because we in rescue feel it is important to crate-train the dogs, but he actually hates the crate. When in the crate, we have to tell him several times to hush before he eventually settles. For now, Radley eats in the crate, sleeps in the crate, and is crated if we have to leave the house for a bit. This is part of new dogs adjusting to the rescue.

Radley is wonderful in the car! He will sit in the front seat next to you and enjoy the car ride. He also walks well on the leash. Radley is not a barker, digger, and is not destructive in the house. We have not tested him around young children but I am sure that he would be great with kids, providing that they are old enough to understand how to be gentle and respective of the dog. Radley has a bit of an issue with separation, but I found this to be manageable, and we can convey those tips forward. In truth, this is quite common in many rescue dogs until they become completely secure again.

The home we seek for Radley is a home with another playful and welcoming dog (closer to his size) that will enjoy being a playmate, friend, and role model to Radley, as well as people who are not collectively gone for long, extended hours on a daily basis. We may consider a home where he is the only dog depending on the circumstances.

Radley is neutered, fully vaccinated (including rabies), front-lined, dewormed, and micro-chipped.
