Jhett's Story...
Hi, my name is Jhett. Isn't that a cool name - I think so! Anyway, I am a female Labrador Retriever mix. Not sure what else I have in me, but I'm a very pretty girl. I am estimated to have been born the middle March 2016. I am a BIG girl weighing approximately 70-80 pounds.

I am a very friendly girl. I love attention from the volunteers, playing with other dogs, and I'm learning how to properly walk on a leash.

I'm looking for a furrever family. I was found abandoned and no one came forward, so hopefully someone out there wants to give me a furrever home.

Jhett resides at a rescue organization in Arkansas. Please contact Gail Ross at 870-431-8229, or via email at to discuss this dog. You can find our adoption application by going to and clicking on the Adoption Application tab. The application, when completed and submitted, will be electronically sent to Gail’s email address.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jhett, a Oakland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
