Julie is one of the most adorable, little girls and her unusual beauty is so charming. She had "home cropped" ears that weren't cut properly but they do stand in their own way. We think she is around 5 or 6 years old so she is calm, easy going and out of the crazy puppy years. Julie can be shy when in new situations but some gentle patience gets her thru it and she is incredibly sweet. The animal shelter reported that they didn't think she was dog social but in our experience, she just needs a little time to feel comfortable around in new dogs and prefers not to be pushed. She is very sweet though around both people and other dogs. She has done really well with crate training and seems to prefer having a comfortable "den" to rest in. The icing on the cake? She is a smiler!! We love this cutie and hope she gets a second chance at a loving home really soon. To see more of our adoptable dogs please refer to our website at www.DobiesandLittlePawsRescue.org
We are a non-profit, no-kill rescue/sanctuary specializing in dobermans but also rescuing small dogs. Most of our dogs come from animal shelters before they are euthanized and are given a second chance at a new home.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We are located on a small ranch nestled in the orchards of Fillmore, ca. We are open every saturday from 11:00am-3:00pm for open house adoptions. We can arrange weekday or sunday visits by appointment as well.
Our Adoption Process...
We ask that you bring the whole family (including the four legged) so we can best match you with the right dog. Once you have found your new companion we will have you fill out a one page adoption agreement. We ask a donation of $200-$250 for a doberman and $150 for a little dog. All dogs go home spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, with a collar, ID tag, and de-wormer.
