Maggie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Maggie's Story...
Maggie is a silky terrier mix, about 7 years young, 10 pounds. She is spayed, micro chipped and up-to-date on all her shots. She has a cute under bite and a "raccoon mask" that makes her especially interesting looking. She's lived with other dogs, large and small as well as cats she does sometimes have an attitude typical of terriers. She's great in the car, loves to sit next to you as you watch TV or read your favorite book. She walks great on leash, is pee pad trained and is definitely a Neighborhood Watch dog! She can be possessive of toys so supervised play time and some training would help her get over that. Maggie should have a 5-6'' wood or concrete fence as she can scale a chain link or split rail fence. Until she is sure she's sure she's going to be fed twice a day, have a warm bed to sleep in and is loved by her person, she might just try and take off but if you take her home you'll have a unique pal for life! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Fillmore Silky Terrier/Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier/Brussels Griffon for sale in Fillmore, or seeking a Silky Terrier/Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in Fillmore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fillmore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fillmore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier/Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Silky Terrier/Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fillmore paves the way for another one to be saved.
