Tyke's Story...
TYKE

Tyke is a very handsome 12 pound, 2 year old wire haired terrier mix. We think he is part Corgi or Dachshund as he has a longer body and shorter legs. His little tail curls over his back. Tyke will need another playful dog and/or an active family to play with. A backyard is also a must. He likes to be near you but also suns or naps by himself in the backyard. Tyke is a low shedder who is potty trained. He could improve his leash training. Tyke is just the sweetest boy who gives kisses and lots of love. If you would like to make Tyke part of your family, please complete an online application at www.lapdogrescue.org and be sure to include his name at the top.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyke, a Tijeras Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
