Hi! My name is Duncan. The shelter humans have asked me to tell you a little bit about myself. So, here is the story of me!
I think I had a home once. I'm pretty sure it was a lovely place. I remember being happy. No one knows for sure what happened to me but I was found wandering around a rural neighborhood by a nice man. He said he loved me but he couldn't keep me so I had to go to something called a Humane Society. At the Humane Society I was greeted by people who gave me a quick physical, despite my protests that I was perfectly healthy! After that I sat in a kennel. And I sat, and sat, and sat.
One day I got word from the Food Human at the Humane Society that I had been selected to go live with the Humane Society's sister, No-kill Shelter. I wasn't sure who this No-kill lady was but I was happy to meet my new mom! Well, the joke was on me because my "new mom" was really just another shelter! I was totally bummed when I first got off the van and saw the brick building. But then I went inside and my whole attitude changed! This place is awesome (they call it SWAC)! I have air conditioning, food, my own spacious kennel, and a lot of friends!
Now, about ME! I am very energetic, super sweet, and the SWAC humans tell me I'm a little crazy. I love to jump! I can jump higher than anyone else at the shelter! I absolutely love toys and am happy to share. Nothing makes me happier than being outside where I can run and play. If you try to put me in a pen and ingnore me I will scream until you let me out. Don't ignore me! I need your full undivided attention always. I mean, I deserve it! Oh, and my long luxurious locks? They will need some grooming. I like to be brushed and bathed. It's good one-on-one time! A nice trim down in the summer is good, too. Did you know they tell me it's like 100 degrees outside?! I'm so thankful for air conditioning! So, now you know the story of me-- Duncan, in case you forgot. Won't you help give me my happily ever after?
