Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This kitten will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our cats or dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.
Eli is a 6 month old kitten we rescued from the shelter. He is an absolute sweetheart and an all-around amazing kitten. On top of being adorable he loves people, and will fall in love very easily. He follows his foster mom around the house, looking upon her dotingly until she pets him-that's just the kind of guy he is. He and his brother were found abandoned under a house, but you wouldn't know it from his sunny disposition. He is great with strangers and once he's had time to adjust to his family they are the only thing he cares about.
He currently lives with his brother Gabe who he tolerates, an older feline foster brother who he loves, and a dog who he is amicable with. While the dog isn't his favorite thing, they're affectionate with one another and can often be seen touching noses or playing chase. Eli would be a great option for any home that has a lot of love and attention to give, and will reward his caretakers with kisses, cuddles and adorable videos of him taking a bath that will make all of your friends jealous. He could be someone's one and only, but would rather be one of many fur babies as he is a total social butterfly. The only downside is that he is not a good sleeping buddy-he will meow at you all night until you pet him again, so he has to spend his nights outside of the bedroom. Other than that Eli is an amazing kitten that is ready to find his furever family!
Eli has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before going to his new home. His adoption donation is $150. Fill out an application today and give this little guy a new, loving home to explore!
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
