Salem's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Salem's Story...

Hi, I am Salem - named after Sabrina the Teenage Witch kitty.  I am just as smart and sleek, but I'm all girl!

I am currently an indoor/outdoor kitty.  My advocate is hoping that I become an indoor kitty only for safety reasons:)

I am very used to kids, other cats and dogs.  As a kitten, the story goes that I used to ride a skate board with the kids on the sidewalk, so I have been exposed to a busy household for my young age which is 2.

I am great in the kitty box and am current on my vetting including spay/shots.

My best home could be as a single kitty with a young girl to love me or I also could do well in a multi cat home but I can be fickle so I may hiss occasionally if my new roommate does something suspicious.

In case you didn't know, black kitties have very high IQ's and are known for being brilliant!  I am no exception, so if your looking for a petite, purring, affectionate, bombproof super feline roommate - I'm your girl!

Please email Pam at buddyranch@ocfa.org for more information - :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Salem, a Orange Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Orange, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Orange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orange paves the way for another one to be saved.
