Sid is a male, 3 year old Pit Bull Terrier mix who was rescued from a local animal control facility. He currently weighs 61 pounds. He is a wonderful dog that loves to play and meet new people. He is very smart, knows how to sit, and listens well. Sid loves his stuffed animals, and is always ready to play. He came to us Heartworm positive, and we have treated him for that condition. Please stop in to meet this great guy!

The mission of One of A Kind Pet Rescue is to save the lives of animals in imminent danger of euthanasia and enrich the lives of people through rescue, spaying/neutering, adoption and advocacy on behalf of homeless pets. We are the largest no-kill animal shelter facility in Summit County, Ohio.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Adoption Center and Retail Store is located at 1929 West Market Street in Akron, Ohio (we are behind AutoZone and Walgreens). Our hours are:
Monday through Friday 11am to 8pm
Saturday 10am to 8pm
Sunday noon to 6pm

Our Adoption Process...

Potential adopters are thoroughly screened. A successful union is extremely important and making the right match is our goal! Our knowledgeable Adoption Counselors will be happy to answer any questions you may have and will offer suggestions on how to make the transition with your new family member a success! Adoption fees range from $25 to $350. Adopters sign a contract at the time of adoption. All adoptions must be conducted in person, and no on-line applications will be accepted.
