Colt-handsome hunk!'s Story...
Meet Colt! Colt actually arrived last week as a stray and was not claimed so he is looking for a new forever home! He is STUNNING and a great boy! He still has that "puppy" face and is well behaved, listens good, loves to go on walks and is good on leash, appears house trained, and seems to be dog friendly but a meet and greet is recommended. Colt is labeled a Plott Hound, approximately 2 years old, and not neutered. His adoption fee is $100 which includes a $50 refundable neuter deposit.

Located at 2396 W Genesee Street, Lapeer, Mi. Adoption hours are M-F 9:30-12, 12:30-4:30 with the exception of Wednesday the shelter closes at noon. Saturday hours are 9am-2pm. For more information please call 810-667-0236.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colt-handsome hunk!, a Lapeer Plott Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound for sale in Lapeer, or seeking a Plott Hound dog from a breeder in Lapeer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lapeer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lapeer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound breeders who help with Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lapeer paves the way for another one to be saved.
