Lucy is a lab/hound mix 2-3 year old female. She was found at the top of Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina starving. She was almost hit by several cars when she was found. She was taken in by a kind family and brought to Raleigh. With a little medical care and a lot of love and regular meals she has gained weight and thrived.
She is an even-tempered, very friendly dog that loves people, especially kids and other dogs. She is energetic and would do well with a yard and family, she loves the company of humans. She is house trained and rarely barks. She is smart and very trainable with a patient owner. She has not had people food and still does not understand play with a ball or plush toys but does love her rope and one rough furred animal toy as well as rawhide chews.
Lucy's adoption fee is $225
Adoption applications can be filled out at www.fchsnc.org/adoptable-dogs
She will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
