Facts about Bubba

  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 409085
  • Hair: Unknown
Bubba is a handsome medium haired tabby male who came into the care of the BC SPCA when he was found in July possibly hit by a car. Bubba sustained a fractured pelvis and spent several weeks in foster care on bed rest so his pelvis could have a chance to heal. He's recently been neutered and had a recheck and everything is looking good so Bubba thinks it's time for him to find his new fur-ever home, possibly one where he's kept inside so he doesn't risk another run in with a car.
Bubba may do best in a bit of a quieter home as he can be a little shy and takes a while to get used to new situations. He likes to have hiding areas to feel safe. If you are patient, gentle and live in a quiet home, this cat will certainly come out of his shell for you! He loves to be petted and will start his purr motor for you. Bubba will be a loving companion in the right home.
A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.

About BC SPCA - Kamloops Branch

About Our Shelter...

See our website at www.spca.bc.ca/Kamloops for all of our current adoption prices, hours of operation, etc.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
