My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MiaoMiao came to us with her brother who was adopted quickly, while MiaoMiao is still waiting. She spent many months in a cage, because it was very hard for her to adjust to the shelter life. Now she is one of the roaming cats in our room and we are very proud of how far she has come! She has learned to co-exist with other roaming cats as long as they leave her alone. We have noticed lately that she has been getting depressed, almost like she has lost any hope of ever finding her forever person. No wonder, she has been at the shelter far too long, over a year, and can't wait to be swept off her paws by that special person who will give her a place she can claim as her own. She needs someone who is patient with her, who lets her do everything at her own pace and loving her for the wonderful kitty she is. Once she trusts you and gives you her royal permission, she enjoys being picked up and having her head gently scratched while closing her eyes contentedly. She would do best in a home without small children. If you think you might be her person, please come and meet MiaoMiao in our cat room. Did we mention how playful our girl is? Here is a video of MiaoMiao "hunting": https://youtu.be/7fnY99nc_Lw MiaoMiao is currently in foster care. If you are interested in meeting her or need more information, please contact Judy at 602-573-8044. Her date of birth is 7/7/12. Her $85 adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip and a free wellness visit with our vet within two weeks of the adoption date. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday, 11:00 am-4:00 pm and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Out-of-state adoptions to surrounding states are possible; however, an in-person introduction with us and our cats is mandatory. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm (walk-in; no appts.), a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment, and one free cat-behavior counseling. Please visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.
