JET is an adorable and sweet 5-month-old black male teenager kitten. He is such a gentle little guy who loves to play but never plays aggressively. When play time is over, Jet will snuggle with you….rubbing his cheeks and under his chin is guaranteed to cause purring. He really enjoys playing with his twin brother Jackson and his sister Jamma, as well as with other kitties. Jet was rescued as a kitten from a feral colony, and because of his limited people interactions, he is shy with new people and situations. He has made amazing progress in his foster home, but will need continued patience and daily handling as he acclimates to his new home. The important thing will be to create a feeling of safety for him by letting him settle in one room of your home with everything he needs -- food, water, toys and a litter box -- interacting with him during this time so that he gets used to you being a part of his new life. Jet will benefit from lots of playtime with you, but most of all he will need your patience and love to blossom into an amazing and loyal companion. He would do best in a quiet home with older children only, and he would really love to be adopted with one of his siblings -- so we are offering a special fee for the pair. His adoption fee is $110 (which is strictly to help cover our costs), and the fee for a pair of these "J" kittens is $150. Jet is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, deflead and dewormed and comes with a free vet visit. He is currently in the cat room at Petsmart in South Eugene (28th and Willamette). For more info, please call Beth at 541-255-9296.

About West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for companion animals of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. WCDC is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 11-4pm Sat.-Sun.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
