Facts about SANDY

  • Breed: Chihuahua/Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
SANDY was owner surrendered along with her mother Chloe, who is also available for adoption. Her family had lost their home and they had been living in their vehicle for months. These little dogs had been very loved but somewhat isolated from the world, so it isn't a surprise that Sandy is a little fearful and nervous in the world. She will take some time to trust and so a home with a lot of patience is needed for her to really come out of her shell.

There is no doubt she wants to love and to trust and she does very well with other dogs, which might help her trust more easily.

About PAW FUND

About Our Rescue Group...

Our adoption program is just one of the services we offer our community. We believe in prevention so we run monthly Free Vaccine Clinics for the residents of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, as well as funding low cost and free spay and neuter surgeries to low income and homeless community members. Our adoptable pets come from two sources - directly from the community as owner surrenders, or from our local partner municipal shelters.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets are in foster homes in the Bay Area. We can usually arrange a meet and greet within a day or two.

We host adoption events outside the Berkeley Animal Care Services shelter (one of our close partner organizations) or at the store GEORGE in Larkspur Landing, in Marin. But these are not on a regular schedule as we do a lot of outreach work in our community and our weekends are sometimes taken up with those events. Please check our Facebook Page for details of events, or email us.

Our Adoption Process...

Our fee is $200 for pups or dogs and $100 for kittens or cats.

We ask you to complete an adoption application which is not available online yet, but can be emailed to you. We try to have adoptions which really meet the needs of the individual pet, we encourage multi pet households as most dogs and many cats are very social and need each other. We need to feel that this is a good fit for everyone, and we are as honest as we can be about the good and not sof good points of our adoptable pets. We want it to work!
