Sid's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sid's Story...
Hi, I'm Sid, a handsome "man about town" dachshund mix, 3 years old and weighing 16lbs. I was surrendered to FUPI when my family relocated. I am looking for a mellow home, hopefully with someone there a lot of the time, and another small dog might be nice as a buddy, but no big dogs. Children 6 and over are O.K. and I can play "retrieve" with them and my squeaky toys. I may need a refresher course on house training as at the present time I am in a boarding facility. I enjoy walks and am good on a leash, and I love going to the dog park. I am good with other small dogs, but don't know about cats. I am well behaved in the car. Affection is important to me. I like to cuddle up and be loved, and would make a great loyal, loving companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sid, a Las Vegas Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Las Vegas, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Las Vegas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Vegas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Vegas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Vegas paves the way for another one to be saved.
