Sheba-Adoption Pending's Story...
Whenever a sweet Schnauzer mix gets into an urgent situation, Farfel's rescuers like to help. We find that pups of this breed mix are very loving and intelligent. They also fit well into a family...and make great companions and the ultimate lap or couch dogs. Sometimes rescue dogs are initially a bit shy....but put them in a home with a loving family and frequent socialization...and they will shine. Sheba is just about 12 - 18 months old (such a great age - young enough to be fun, active and adventurous, yet old enough to understand her adult skills) and weighs 29 lbs (the perfect size for Colorado hiking trails). Sheba will gently warm your heart and express her love with her loyalty and sweetness.

Sheba has inherited the intelligence of the Schnauzer breed along with the curiosity of the Terrier...she is therefore very open for her family to teach her the wonders of her world. If Sheba is trained with positive reinforcement, given tons of love, socialization with both humans of all ages and other dogs...she will grow into a self-confident dog who will be a wonderful companion. She has all the elements working in her favor since she's starting out with a great temperament, a love of life and a desire to please. We'd like to place Sheba in a home with either active retirees or a younger family who loves spending lots of time with a fuzzy and devoted family member.

Sheba will shine for a family who is motivated to take her to group obedience classes and to bring out all the wonderful qualities and loyalty that live inside this incredibly cute Schnauzer mix. Sheba would love hiking the trails of Colorado (she's the perfect size to enjoy walking the mountains), window-shopping on Pearl Street to fine-tune her urban skills and being a very present companion all through the day. With feelings of security within the family, Sheba will learn the skills of being alone and knowing her family will aways return
Sheba has a beautiful, non-shedding (or very lightly shedding) silver, black and white coat . With periodic baths, grooming and great nutrition, she will develop the cottony-soft, shining hair of a healthy, well-cared for coat.

Sheba will be arriving on transport in Denver on Friday 9/30/16. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and devoted best friend and can be found at If interested, please fill out and return to or fax to 303-443-7730.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheba-Adoption Pending, a Boulder Schnauzer (Standard)/Tibetan Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard)/Tibetan Terrier for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard)/Tibetan Terrier dog from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard)/Tibetan Terrier breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard)/Tibetan Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
