Amelia's Story...
DOB: 01/05 Amelia is very affectionate but can be independent. She is about 50% lap cat and 50% playful 'hunter' of toy mice. She is selective of her feline friends and her status with dogs is unknown. She was a loving mother of three kittens who have gone to their forever homes and it is now sweet Amelia's turn. She is litter-box trained and LOVES both wet and dry food. She is very loyal to those who are kind to her and has a very loud purr. Her favorite afternoon activity is snoozing in a patch of sunshine streaming through the window.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amelia, a Walnut Creek Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Walnut Creek, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Walnut Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
