Nellie's Story...
Nellie is a stunning midnight black tortie.
She would do well being an only cat or allowing her to decide who could be her friend. She likes other cats that are non-confrontational and easy going.
She has a very sweet and loving personality and absolutely loves to be petted or she is happy just being in the same room with you as long as she can cuddle her stuffed animals while you're busy. She currently has a bunny and two monkeys that she sleeps with all the time.
Nellie is intelligent, she watches and learns new things quite easily. She is of course cautious at first but very comfortable once she knows she is safe.  She has a very gentle personality and does not bite or scratch. She is not demanding but will let you know when she needs some love. She particularly likes to lay on your shoulder and cuddle that way or have you pet her belly while she stretches over and over.
She is in excellent health and sheds very, very little.  She is quite petite and absolutely beautiful.
She is at the right age and maturity level to form her forever bond easily.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Walnut Creek Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Walnut Creek, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Walnut Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
