Buddy's Story...
Buddy was found on the streets in Brooklyn by a Good Samaritan. When she brought him to us, we could tell this boy had not known a good life. His front left paw has no toes and his front right paw is missing some toes. His ears look like they were chewed up and his rigth ear has a cigarette burn hole in it. We figure he was used as a bait dog or otherwise mistreated by humans. But what really struck us is that this boy is AMAZING! What a lovely personality our Buddy has. He is great with other dogs and super sociable and sweet with all. He is a senior, and we estimate he is 8 years old. He weighs about 50lbs and walks very nicely by your side. Our vet said Buddy requires no surgery or physical therapy for his left paw, and that he does just fine the way he is. He is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and healthy, and he waits for you to come and make him yours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Oakland Gardens German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Oakland Gardens, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Oakland Gardens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland Gardens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland Gardens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland Gardens paves the way for another one to be saved.
