Luna is an energetic but loving Jack Russell/Wire Haired Terrier Mix. She is three years old and seventeen pounds and is completely vetted. Luna loves to run and explore, but she also wants to find a cozy spot next to you on the couch in the evenings. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night, and she has not had an accident in her panties in the two weeks that she's been here, so it's time for them to come off and see if she really is house trained. She can be a little possessive of her food and toys with the other dogs. Luna came to us because she has a very HIGH PREY DRIVE. She will not be placed in a home with cats or with cats on the property. She was previously in a home with 3 barn cats, and Luna jumped the four foot fence to chase a cat. Luna loves children, and she is getting along with the other dogs here, especially wanting to engage Lafayette the Standard Poodle in play! About Bongo's Buddies Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We have seen the need to provide more foster home environments for dogs needing a second chance, so our rescue was just founded at the beginning of 2016. We welcome donations to help with the care of our foster dogs, and we also welcome local people interested in fostering or helping us in any way to fill out the volunteer application.

Our Adoption Process...

Upon receiving a completed application, we will contact your two personal references plus your veterinarian, and then schedule a home safety visit with you. We do have all adopters sign an adoption contract and ask for an adoption donation (dependent on the age of the dog) to help defray the costs of vetting the dogs in our care. We prefer to not place our dogs in homes where there are children under the age of 10. You must be able to pick up your dog - we do not use commercial transportation methods.
