Luna's Story...
ADOPTION PENDING!1/2/17 Luna is an energetic but loving Jack Russell/Wire Haired Terrier Mix. She is three years old and seventeen pounds and is completely vetted. Luna loves to run and explore, but she also wants to find a cozy spot next to you on the couch in the evenings. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night, and she has not had an accident in her panties in the two weeks that she's been here, so it's time for them to come off and see if she really is house trained. She can be a little possessive of her food and toys with the other dogs. Luna came to us because she has a very HIGH PREY DRIVE. She will not be placed in a home with cats or with cats on the property. She was previously in a home with 3 barn cats, and Luna jumped the four foot fence to chase a cat. Luna loves children, and she is getting along with the other dogs here, especially wanting to engage Lafayette the Standard Poodle in play! You can find our adoption application at www.bongosbuddiesrescue.com .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a Sullivan Jack Russell Terrier/Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Wirehaired Fox Terrier for sale in Sullivan, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog from a breeder in Sullivan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sullivan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sullivan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Wirehaired Fox Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Wirehaired Fox Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sullivan paves the way for another one to be saved.
