"Guten tag! My name is GUNTHER, and I'm a five-year-old Australian Shepherd/ Collie mix fellow who wants to be your buddy. Everyone here at the shelter remarks on my gorgeous coat and my soulful eyes. I'm not just a pretty face, though, as I'm really quite smart. I'm very obedient, gentle, and respectful, so I'll sit or lie down whenever you command. Sometimes, with great intelligence comes sensitivity. That's the case with me. Kids and other dogs make me uneasy, so I'd do best in a predictable adult home as the only dog. I've already been house trained, and I don't want to be left outside all day. I'm a big, beautiful house dog, and I'm proud of it! I enjoy going on walks, and I walk very nicely on a leash; no pulling. I like to chase after toys or balls in the yard, too. Won't you please come visit me? I'm waiting for that special someone here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, and I guarantee that once I get to know you, I'll be your loving and devoted pal for life.
