A gentle soul.....Belle is an affectionate and sensitive 6 year old girl who loves to be with her people. We believe she is a Brittany mix. Unfortunately, Belle spent her entire life living outside in the hot sun, chained, so that she would not jump a 3ft fence. Now that she is an NBRAN girl, life is wonderful!
She will need couch and human bed privileges to feel bonded to her humans. She is 100% trustworthy in the bed at night and sleeps like a baby, sometimes hearing a little yawn or snore. We are making up for lost cuddle time, and she can’t get enough. She loves to have her belly rubbed and will instantly roll over and invite you to pet her. She has a wonderful spirit that is playful and almost puppy-like. When she wakes up in the morning, she needs to go out right away. She thrives on a routine and needs reassurance that she will always be allowed back inside. She would love it if her new family worked from home or was retired.
Outside she is learning to play ball and loves to explore around the yard. Belle must have a 6ft fenced yard. Belle loves to play with another dog that is willing to play. Belle is great with both male and female dogs. Belle would prefer a fur sibling of similar size and one who is very friendly.
She is very alert and watches you for instruction. She knows basic commands and is very willing to learn more. Belle would excel in an obedience class and it will allow her and her new family to bond. A positive reward based class would help Belle become even more confident. This little sweet heart is eager to please.
Belle is not letting her past dictate her future. She is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), spayed, and micro chipped. Belle’s adoption fee will be $275 to offset her vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.
If you are interested in making Belle a part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.NBRAN.org, Adoption Center, Adoption Application. Once the application has been completed, you may email Lora at firstname.lastname@example.org for additional questions.
