Dexter's Story...
DOG OF THE DAY!!!

Meet Dexter... He's a 5 year old Yorkie/Carin terrier mix! He was saved from our local city shelter! He had flea dermatitis on his rear when we got him but his hair is now growing in nicely! Other than that he checked out great at the vet! He went to his foster home tonight and is doing well with the other animals in his foster home! He's been started on house and kennel training! He walks well on a leash and does well in the car! He's utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and neutered!

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Grand Bay Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
