Hi everyone! I’m Charlie, the happy go lucky beagle! I came to BREW in a rough condition, but that is all behind me now and you’d never know it by looking at me. I have a clean bill of health and I’m ready to brighten someone’s world. I am still a young beagle and will get into my share of things if given the chance. I am also very quiet in my crate and in the house and settle right down for a car ride. I’m even quiet outside unless I see a bunny or catch a scent. I’ve also been known to join my foster sister in barking at other dogs on our walks but she kind of gets me going sometimes.
Speaking of walks, I love them! I do walk pretty fast and tend to pull a bit, but I’m getting better. I also love people and their attention. I’m trying to learn not to be too excited and jump up…but I can’t help myself! I’m learning to sit and lay down, but I would really benefit from an obedience class. I’m still working on house training and you’ll need to keep an eye on me, but I have always kept my crate clean.
I get along ok with my foster sister, but we both tend to be a little dominant. I just wish she would play with me more! I also have learned to leave the resident cat alone, most of the time. I’d rather not have to deal with those front claws. I just thought he would play with me too!
