Calypso's Story...
This girl never met a stranger! She is quite the social butterfly!

Calypso was found by a very kind police officer at 3am on a dark street. A super friendly girl she loves meeting new people and going places. Some highlights about this gal:
* Looking for a partner to watch TV? – she’s your gal . She loves a good puppy romp and play then a cuddle and snuggle on the couch.
* Doggy play time? - Calypso likes playing with her foster siblings but is initially a little wary of new dogs when first meeting them. But she is getting out and about and meeting lots of new dogs and has signed up for puppy kindergarten. Ongoing socialization to other dogs will be key for this girl to group up to be a confident adult around other dogs.
* Crate training - Calypso is getting good grades in her crate training and house training classes.
Smart cookie – She already knows sit, down and “kennel”. The sky’s the limit with this girl!

Come meet Calypso today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calypso, a Houston Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
