Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Yankee, a 9 or 10 week old pup who weighs just under 15 pounds. He looks like a small black lab mix, and he has that easy-going lab personality!
Yankee and his 5 siblings came to Chicago hoping to witness baseball history--and find their forever homes. (Their mom left and never came back, so the pups were placed for rescue.) Although they look like lab pups, we don't know for sure their breed or their exact age, so only apply if you are willing to take pot-luck in terms of what breed and size he ultimately grows into!
His foster mom tells us: "Yankee is friendly, very well socialized, and used to a lot of activity. He lives with his brother Brewer, 2 other big labs, 4 cats, and 4 children ages 9-17. His foster dad loves to vacuum, so he has adjusted nicely to that as well. Yankee hangs out in a puppy pen in my family room with his brother, and makes it all night without any accidents. Every time we open up the pen, he runs straight outside and does his business. Yankee is adorable and sweet, and loves to play with my kids and my 2 much larger dogs. He is definitely a team player, and ready for a family to call his own! "
Although he is well on his way to being house trained, Yankee
is still a puppy and in need of lots of attention and training. He needs a home with at least a part-time stay-at-home person to attend to his needs and continued socialization. Puppy obedience school is also a requirement for adoption.
Yankee's adoption fee of $375 includes: vet exam, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, heart worm preventative, flea/tick preventative, routine deworming, microchip and neuter.
